What a beautiful restaurant with an equally beautiful view of the Rhine! The food is spectacular and the wines are fine! What a nice evening at the OX, wonderful!

Restaurant with a top location and a view of the Rhine. Very nicely decorated. Steaks were very good, starters tasty. Unfortunately, the service during our visit was only stressful and therefore not good and the price range of the restaurant was not appropriate. Hopefully we just had a bad day there.

Very good food and very good service! Can't remember the last time I ate such a perfectly grilled piece of meat! 1 * deduction is only given for the fact that the staff worked without mouth and nose protection at the end of the cleaning up and preparation of the remaining tables. Shouldn't happen in these times and especially in this price segment!

Very good steak house with a view of the Rhine. Here everything revolves around the best piece of beef. Selection of steak reduced excellent. The side dishes were also very good. Very large wine list. Ambience upscale but not aloof. Was very cozy. The service was very good and attentive.

We stumbled across this restaurant / steakhouse by chance and were particularly impressed by the dedicated service and the nice view of the Rhine. The food is good to very good, but it has its price. Overall, however, highly recommended

One of the best, if not the best steak restaurant we've been to so far. Meat quality really good, doneness to the point, service perfect, super nice, very good wine selection. Price for the meat is almost too cheap :) and the view, decor is perfect, keep it up. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Cologne :)

Lovely restaurant! Our family visited this lovely restaurant today. I recommend to everyone. Delicious and beautifully served food, excellent service, attentive restaurant, very good location on the banks of the Rhine. Goran served a treat! On the way back from a ski trip to Austria, my wife and I stopped at a nearby hotel and dropped by OX for a delicious meal. Goran, our waiter, looked after us exceptionally well and although it was dark, everyone had the impression that the view from the restaurant during the day would be an impressive view of the Rhine. Beef and lamb, but cooked to perfection. If we visit Cologne again, we will definitely return. Fine On a weekend out of London, a colleague recommended the Ox Royal as the best steak in town. It is worth taking a taxi from the center of Cologne; great food, great river location and amazingly attentive and friendly service - highly recommended!

Food and service okay, but for the next steak go back to a "real" steak restaurant.

Super quality meat. The side dishes can be improved. The service was basically very good. But the service did not really handle the main course. Overall, just too expensive

The staff was very friendly and quick. The restaurant is modern and attractively decorated. In addition, you have a good view of the Rhine. Individual preparation of the main dishes was very good. We can recommend the Ox Royal without hesitation and would love to come back!

If you want to try the best steak in Cologne area, THIS is the place to visit. Absolutely superb steak quality with an amazing service and beautiful ambient. I will certainly be coming back.

Visited Ox Royal after a quick google search and saw it had positive reviews. Short uber drive outside of the city center of koln (15 minutes) and we were not disappointed. Beautiful restaurant in a chilled (what seemed like an upscale neighborhood) not too far from waterfront. We started with the prawns in the garlic oil and a baked goats cheese salad. Both were a delight but the goats cheese was Incredible absolute melt in your mouth. Best goats cheese ever! Our mains were equally delightful (really good options for grilled fish and meats) I was really looking forward to sampling the creme brûlée but I couldn’t fit anymore in... in all it was a Wonderful scenic trip with delicious food and expertise waiting service from Goran. Highly highly recommend. If we are ever back in Koln it will be a must visit!

How can you prepare a steak so delicious, serve an excellent view with the food and create the perfect atmosphere. I am overwhelmed . Highly classic and yet so warm - perfect is exactly what I was able to experience here
